The Tech Gift Guide
For your convenience, the list starts off with the cheapest items and the most expensive are lower down.
Smart Plugs for Home (£19.99)
This WiFi-enabled smart plug allows you to control your electronic devices from your phone. It works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit, so you can toggle the power on your lamp, fan, or whatever you have connected to the plug from wherever you are in the world.
Smart Plant Sensor (£23.99)
The WANFEI Smart Plant Sensor is perfect for your local tech lover who also likes to keep some plants around. This smart sensor keeps a close eye on the moisture, light & PH levels, and will tell you exactly what to do to ensure the optimal conditions for your plant. Yes, your particular plant as you can find your plant in the vast database of more than 6,000 plants and keep record of it’s growth in the app.
Compact Mirror Portable Charger (£24.00)
Matte Black Electric USB Candle Lighter (£24.20)
Super Cube aka. Smart Rubik's Cube (£34.99)
This is a Rubik’s cube, and then some. By connecting it to an app, it tracks puzzle-solving progress and gives mini challenges where you can compete with people around the world. I love the Super Cube as a simple gift for gamers!
Mini Portable Printer (£36.99)
The mini printer that fits in the palm of your hand! It’s Bluetooth and wireless-enabled. And comes with paper where you can peel off the back and use your photos as stickers. Considering I hadn’t heard of this brand before, the Aibecy Mini Pocket Printer has plenty of rave reviews for a cheap alternative. You can’t knock the cute design either!
Wireless Charging Stand (£35)
For the gift that will be welcomed by just about anyone, you can’t go past a wireless charger. This one from Belkin is for smartphones – both Android and iOS – and would be well-suited to someone who picks up and puts down their phone often at their desk, or on a bedside table overnight. It’s got 10 watts of charging power, and the stand design means they can easily check their notifications while their handset continues to be topped up.
Sunrise Alarm Clock Wake Up Light (£47)
For the one who’s addicted to hitting the snooze button, this alarm clock is brilliant. Featuring sunrise and sunset simulations, the light therapy is supposed to improve your energy levels, sleep, and snooze addiction. The alarm clock gradually lights up with a sunrise-like simulation light 30 minutes prior to your wakeup time, making you feel more refreshed and calm in the morning. It’s also compatible with Alexa and Google Home.
Mini Skincare Fridge (£59.99)
Store your expensive beauty and skincare products at just the right temperature and extend their shelf-life! The SubCold Mini Fridge isn’t dedicate to skincare, or cooling for that matter, but it’s small price makes it an amazing alternative to other skincare fridges.
Smart Water Bottle (£59.99)
The Hidrate Spark 3 Smart Water Bottle tracks your water intake and even glows to remind you to stay hydrated! My favourite thing about this particular smart bottle is that it syncs your water intake across multiple water tracking apps, instead of limiting the updates to Hidrate Spark alone.
Mini Portable Projector (£64.99)
VLOG Phone Stabiliser (£89)
With this handheld phone stabiliser, your VLOG or live stream will look like it is shot by a professional film crew. This nifty little gadget has over 8 hours of battery life and comes with a mini tripod and portable bag.
360° Portable Speaker (£120)
The BOOM 3 Wireless Speaker delivers loud and immersive 360° sound, so isn’t your average speaker. Yet, despite its unique shape, its high price would keep me away. This speaker is an ideal gift for tech lovers who also love the outdoors (unlike this home bird) who can take advantage of the waterproof and floating capabilities. Yes, you read that right, this speaker floats.
